Job description

Lead with Purpose. Inspire with Impact

At ORTEC, everyone belongs. Our Community empowers teams to thrive together. Curiosity drives innovation and inspires us to challenge the norm. Grit helps us overcome obstacles and continuously improve. We pursue Excellence not as perfection, but as a commitment to try, learn, and grow. Trust lies at the heart of our culture—earned through respect, accountability, and building something meaningful together.

If our values resonate with you, and you want to make a global impact, we welcome your application.

We are looking for a visionary HR leader to join our Global People & Culture team as Director for HR Business Partnering. In this role, you will shape our People strategy worldwide, partner with senior leaders, and foster a culture where our talent flourishes and the business thrives. You will oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR strategies, policies, and programs to support global business growth. A crucial part of the role involves leading change management initiatives and supporting leaders across cultural and geographic boundaries.

You will report to the SVP for People & Culture and lead a small but expanding team of HR Business Partners. Your stakeholders include our Global Executives across various business divisions

Your Mission:

  • Drive the Global People Strategy: Translate diverse business objectives into actionable HR priorities that reflect our values and embrace inclusion.
  • Be a trusted advisor: Guide senior leaders with insights that build trust and enable bold decisions.
  • Champion talent & growth: Lead equitable workforce planning, implement fair succession strategies, and conduct inclusive talent reviews to build a sustainable pipeline.
  • Foster engagement & culture: Design initiatives that strengthen community, embrace diversity, and inspire high performance across all backgrounds.
  • Manage change: Lead transformation projects—including new global ways of working, mergers & acquisitions, and adoption of new systems and tools.
  • Advance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I): Collaborate on programs that celebrate curiosity, diversity of thought, and varied life experiences.

Who are you

We welcome candidates whose career paths may differ from the traditional. We value lived experience alongside professional expertise.

  • 12+ years in HR (or equivalent impact in people-focused roles), including 3+ years in global leadership
  • HR experience from different countries, and preferably not only with HQ experience
  • Proven ability in change leadership, organizational design, and inclusive talent management
  • Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders in multicultural environments
  • Business acumen from small/midsized growth companies (experience across sectors is valued)
  • Strategic thinking combined with effective influencing and coaching
  • A growth mindset and positive approach to problem-solving
  • Degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are welcomed)

You don’t have to be an expert in all HR topics—our central team offers support and collaboration across disciplines.

What we offer

You will be part of an international team that celebrates collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity. Your ideas matter here, and your leadership will help shape a workplace where everyone can thrive.

We offer autonomy, trust, and flexible hybrid working.

Furthermore, we offer:

  • A permanent contract is waiting for you (we believe in commitment)
  • 25 annual leave days, additional days from the age of 35
  • Holiday remuneration of 8%
  • Result-related remuneration
  • Year-end bonus equal to a full month’s pay
  • NS Business Card, lease opportunity or commuting allowance
  • Mobility allowance equal to 3% of your base salary
  • Active employee association for fun activities with colleagues
  • Development programs tailored to your needs and role

While being close to stakeholders in Zoetermeer (Netherlands) has benefits, we welcome applicants based elsewhere—provided you can regularly connect in person in the Netherlands. At ORTEC, we encourage applicants from all backgrounds. If you are passionate about shaping an inclusive workplace, we would love to hear from you.

What to expect

We will help you to thrive in your field of expertise. We offer development programs, tailored to your individual needs and function requirements, including opportunities to attend courses and seminars. We offer challenging, practical hands-on experience with opportunities to work abroad. We operate in a flat organizational structure that keeps communication lines short. The atmosphere is open, informal, cooperative and positive. We employ over 1000 people in the Netherlands (HQ), Belgium, Germany, Greece, France, the U.K., Romania, Italy, the U.S., Australia, Brazil, Poland, Denmark and Singapore. Visit our website www.ortec.com to learn more about our solutions and clients’ experiences. Please do not use this vacancy as an acquisition opportunity.
